Piazza Cavour has been the civic heart of Rimini since the Middle Ages, and it still gathers the town. The medieval Palazzo dell'Arengo and Palazzo del Podestà line one side under their arcades, the restored Teatro Galli faces them across the paving, and the Pigna fountain in the middle is the one Leonardo da Vinci stopped to praise.

🏛️ Around the Square

Behind the palaces run the arcades of the old fish market, the Pescheria, its stone counters still in place from the days of the morning catch and now the busiest corner of Rimini's evening. It is a short walk from here to the Tiberius Bridge and the Roman old town.
